I'm so excited to share with you
a new service offered by The Transcription Place !
• The Transcription Place (TTP) offers
transcription services for individuals who are telling
their story. The focus is on your life history and
personal memoirs. We can transcribe from audio or
written works.
• We will interview you either
in person or on the phone. In person interviews must
be must be within the metropolitan area of Baltimore.
Does not matter about location though....there are no
limits!
• We will work with you one on one bit
by bit, providing you with memory triggers.
•
Then we will type a professionally prepared manuscript
that is rich in personal and historical detail and
representative of the message you wish to relay.
• We will scan any pictures or documents that you
would like to include.
• Together we will
create a beautiful book of your memories.

“Today,
people are so disconnected that they feel they are
blades of grass, but when they know how their
grandparents and great grandparents were they become
trees, they have roots, they can no longer be mowed
down.”
Maya Angelou

“There was never an uninteresting
life, such a thing is an impossibility. Inside of the
dullest exterior there is a drama, a comedy, and a
tragedy”

"Sylvia
Mallonee has been a core part of my production team for
several years, transcribing tapes made on remote Pacific
Islands in sometimes terrible conditions including pouring
rain, roosters crowing, and speakers with thick accents and
a lot of non-English words. The personal attention,
patience, professionalism, and ability to work with these
at-times awkward and difficult materials has been absolutely
essential to the success of our work. Whenever I need
transcription done, Sylvia is absolutely the first place I
turn."
